Window Installation & Replacement

New windows cut drafts, reduce energy bills, and refresh your home's exterior — installed by the same crew that handles your roof and siding.

What this covers

Windows, done properly.

Old or poorly fitted windows are one of the biggest sources of heat loss in a Midwest home. Top Notch Roofing & Exteriors installs energy-efficient replacement windows as part of a whole-exterior approach — so your new windows integrate perfectly with your siding, trim, and flashing rather than being bolted in as an afterthought. We handle standard double-hung windows through custom sizes for architectural openings.

How we work

From assessment to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Measure

We measure every opening precisely. Custom-order windows take 2–4 weeks; in-stock sizes can install sooner.

  2. 02

    Estimate

Written quote per window and per room, so you can phase the project if needed.

  3. 03

    Order

We order direct from the manufacturer and track delivery. Your install is scheduled after windows arrive and are inspected.

  4. 04

    Install

One window at a time — the opening is never left exposed. Flashing, foam, and trim finished before moving to the next.

  5. 05

    Completion

Every window opened, closed, and locked before we leave. Interior trim touched up. All packaging removed.

Pricing

Honest ranges. Firm quotes in writing.

Window pricing is highly dependent on size, style, and quantity. We measure in person before quoting. Multi-window projects receive better per-unit pricing.

Work Typical range Notes
Standard double-hung window (installed) $400 – $900 Per window, including removal and trim
Whole-home window replacement (average home, 12–18 windows) $6,000 – $15,000 Volume pricing applies
Picture, bay, or custom-size windows $800 – $2,500+ Per unit, depending on size and frame type
Windows FAQs

The questions we get most.

Still unanswered? Send a WhatsApp message, we respond personally, not via a bot.

How much energy can I save with new windows?
Double-pane Low-E windows typically reduce heating and cooling costs by 10–25% compared to single-pane or older double-pane windows. The exact savings depend on your home's insulation, orientation, and how many windows you replace.
How long does a window installation take?
We install 6–10 standard windows per day. A whole-home project on an average house is typically done in one to two days.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
We ask that you or a trusted adult be on-site for the first hour so we can do a final walkthrough of sizes and placement. After that, our crew can continue independently.
Can you match my existing window style?
We carry a wide range of profiles — double-hung, casement, slider, picture, and bay. If you're replacing only some windows, we'll match the frame color and grid pattern to your existing ones.
