Insurance claim guidance
We walk you through the claims process, communicate directly with your adjuster, and make sure nothing is missed. Once approved, we handle the full repair or replacement.
Meeting your adjuster changes everything.
Insurance adjusters are often overloaded after major storms and may miss damage — especially to gutters, flashing, and siding. Having an experienced contractor on-site who can point out every affected area means your claim reflects the full scope of damage, not just what's visible from the ground.
We've helped hundreds of homeowners across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin recover the full value of their claim. We do this at no extra charge — our fee comes from the repair work after your claim is approved.

Insurance claim FAQs.
- Does filing a storm claim raise my rates?
- Weather-related claims in Illinois are typically classified as 'Act of God' events and generally do not raise your rates. We recommend confirming with your insurer.
- What if the adjuster misses damage?
- We attend the adjuster meeting when possible and provide our documentation. If items are missed, we help you file a supplemental claim.
- How long does the insurance process take?
- Most straightforward claims are approved within 2–4 weeks. We follow up with your insurer so you don't have to chase paperwork.
- What kinds of damage are typically covered?
- Hail, wind, falling tree branches, and ice dam damage are usually covered. Age-related wear and tear typically is not — but storm damage to an aging roof often still qualifies.
- Do I need to contact my insurer before calling you?
- No. Call us first. We'll inspect the damage, document everything, and advise you on whether a claim makes sense before you file.
- What areas do you serve for insurance inspections?
- We serve Loves Park, Rockford, Machesney Park, South Beloit, Roscoe, Belvidere (IL), and Janesville, Beloit (WI).
